Colors, shapes and also sounds have always fascinated and accompanied the creative part of my life, be it in dealing with textiles and designing garments during my training as a seamstress, as well as in making music and for some years now in landscape photography, which I have discovered and learned to love during my travels.
Accordingly, I can hardly get enough of seeing and hearing a landscape scene.
I am fascinated by the colors of the landscape and its special structures. I often ask myself why a landscape is perceived as beautiful? Does this beauty have a purpose?
Is it just a subjective feeling that we humans perceive certain landscapes as beautiful?
Questions upon questions occupy me, and I come to the conclusion that colors, shapes and, not to forget, light form an inseparable unity with the landscape; indeed, it is color, shapes and light that give landscapes their final form in the first place. Perhaps it is precisely this symbiosis that ensures that landscapes fascinate us and that we strive to preserve them and not destroy them.

Farben, Formen und auch Klänge faszinieren und begleiten schon immer den kreativen Part meines Lebens, sei es bei dem Umgang mit Textilien und dem Entwurf von Kleidungsstücken während meiner Ausbildung zur Schneiderin, als auch beim Musizieren und seit einigen Jahren nun schon in der Landschaftsfotografie, die ich, während meiner Reisen für mich entdeckt und lieben gelernt habe.
Entsprechend kann ich mich kaum an einer Landschafts-Szenerie sattsehen und -hören.
Mich fasziniert die Farbgebung der Landschaft und deren besondere Strukturen ungemein. Öfters frage ich mich warum empfindet man eine Landschaft als schön? Hat diese Schönheit einen Zweck?
Ist es nur ein subjektives Empfinden, dass wir Menschen bestimmte Landschaften als schön empfinden?
Fragen über Fragen beschäftigen mich, und ich komme zu dem Schluss, dass Farben, Formen und nicht zu vergessen auch das Licht mit der Landschaft eine untrennbare Einheit bilden, ja Farbe, Formen und Licht den Landschaften überhaupt erst ihre endgültige Gestalt geben. Vielleicht ist es genau diese Symbiose, die dafür sorgt, dass uns Landschaften faszinieren und wir dadurch bestrebt sind, sie zu erhalten und nicht zu zerstören.
